Our Programs

Community Building and Organizing

At ARC, we believe in the strength of community. Our community-building initiatives are designed to bring refugees together, foster connections, and create a supportive network. We organize regular community events, workshops, and meetings to discuss common challenges and share solutions. Our goal is to build a cohesive community where refugees feel a sense of belonging and support.

Networking Opportunities

We provide numerous networking opportunities to help refugees connect with local businesses, community leaders, and other organizations. These connections are vital for finding employment, accessing services, and integrating into the community. Our networking events include job fairs, business mixers, and mentorship programs.

Affordable Housing Projects

Housing is a fundamental need, and ARC is committed to ensuring refugees have access to affordable, safe, and stable housing. We work with local governments, developers, and other nonprofits to develop affordable housing projects tailored to the needs of refugee families. Our projects focus on creating sustainable communities where refugees can thrive.

Campaign Against Bullying

Bullying can have a devastating impact on individuals, particularly those who are already vulnerable. Our anti-bullying campaign aims to raise awareness, provide support, and create a zero-tolerance environment for bullying in schools, workplaces, and communities. We offer workshops, support groups, and advocacy to protect refugees from bullying and harassment.

Ending Domestic Violence

Domestic violence is a critical issue that affects many refugees. ARC is dedicated to ending domestic violence through education, support, and advocacy. We offer confidential counseling, legal assistance, and safe housing for victims of domestic violence. Our programs also focus on educating the community about the signs of domestic violence and how to prevent it.

Educational and Vocational Training

Education is key to empowerment. We provide a range of educational programs, including ESL (English as a Second Language) classes, GED preparation, and vocational training. Our goal is to equip refugees with the skills they need to succeed in the workforce and achieve their personal and professional goals.

Legal Assistance and Rights Education

Understanding one’s legal rights is crucial for refugees navigating their new lives in the USA. We offer legal assistance and education programs to help refugees understand their rights and access the legal support they need. Our services include immigration advice, assistance with legal documentation, and workshops on rights and responsibilities.

Health and Wellness Programs

Health and wellness are integral to overall well-being. Our health and wellness programs provide refugees with access to healthcare services, mental health support, and wellness activities. We partner with local healthcare providers to ensure refugees receive comprehensive care tailored to their unique needs. Currently, we are collaborating with MassHealth and Health Care for All on a statewide redetermination campaign to ensure refugees maintain their health coverage and access necessary services.

Social Protection Programs

ARC is dedicated to ensuring refugees have access to essential social services and protections. Our social protection programs include assistance with food security, childcare, and financial literacy. We work to ensure refugees can navigate and access public assistance programs effectively.

Gender-Based Violence Prevention

Gender-based violence (GBV) is a severe issue affecting many refugees. ARC is committed to preventing GBV through education, advocacy, and support services. We provide safe spaces, counseling, and legal assistance to survivors of GBV. Our programs also include community education to raise awareness and prevent GBV.

Support for Women and Girls

Empowering women and girls is a key focus of ARC. We offer specialized programs to support female refugees, including leadership training, entrepreneurship programs, and health services. Our initiatives aim to enhance the well-being and independence of women and girls in the refugee community.

Youth Empowerment Programs

The future of refugee communities lies in their youth. Our youth empowerment programs include educational support, mentorship, and recreational activities. We aim to help young refugees achieve their full potential and become active members of their communities.

Cultural Integration and Exchange

ARC promotes cultural integration and exchange through various programs and events. We celebrate the diverse cultural heritage of refugees and facilitate exchanges that promote mutual understanding and respect. Our cultural programs include festivals, art exhibitions, and language exchange sessions.
